Toxys’ New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for safety testing in the Cosmetics, Flavours, and Fragrance industries:
Genetic toxicology – ToxTracker reports on direct and indirect genotoxic events, which improves genotoxicity predictions, and provides mode-of-action insight. ToxTracker is recommended in the SCCS notes of guidance and is under review by the OECD for a test guideline. It is commonly used in cosmetics safety testing, including projects with Cosmetics Europe, Botanicals Safety Consortium, and major producers.
Developmental toxicology – ReproTracker is a unique human stem cell-based in vitro assay that rapidly and reliably identifies developmental toxicity hazards of substances. Cosmetic companies commonly use this assay, with Unilever incorporating it into their NGRA strategy, while data from the assay has been submitted to regulatory bodies.
Investigative toxicology – We offer ToxProfiler, a human cell assay, contains seven fluorescent reporters that provide a toxicological profile of your compound, enabling quantitative dose-response modeling and point-of-departure calculations for potency ranking.
