Webinar: DNA Repair-Profiler, a new in vitro assay for DNA repair & genotoxic mode of action assessment

Webinar: DNA Repair-Profiler, a new in vitro assay for DNA repair & genotoxic mode of action assessment

Date: 31 Jan 2023

Time: 4-5pm Central European Time

Presenters:
Dr. Giel Hendriks, CEO
Dr. Marit Hoogenboom-Geijer, Scientist

About the webinar:
DNA Repair-Profiler is a unique collection of mammalian cell lines, each with a deficiency in one of the major DNA repair pathways. The DNA Repair-Profiler assay can be applied to study the impact of DNA repair on cell viability, genome stability and gene mutation induction following exposure to genotoxic compounds.

DNA Repair-Profiler investigates base excision repair (BER), nucleotide excision repair (NER), and repair of double-strand DNA breaks by non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) or homologous recombination (HR) and includes DNA mismatch repair and translesion synthesis.

Identification of the specific DNA repair pathways relevant for protection against the detrimental effects of genotoxic substances can provide insight into the type of DNA damage induced by the compound. Insight into the mechanism of genotoxicity can be used in AOP and WOE approaches and can be valuable in further characterization of novel drugs, for example in oncology.

During this webinar, you will learn
– What DNA Repair-Profiler is and how the assay works
– What DNA Repair-Profiler is used for
– About some of the case studies of DNA Repair-Profiler
