ToxTracker and ToxTracker ACE: unique mechanistic insight into genotoxicity
Understanding the mode-of-action of a substance has become increasingly important for genetic toxicologists. Also evaluation of genotoxic as well as non-genotoxic mechanisms is essential for improved carcinogen identification. To address these needs, Toxys developed ToxTracker and ToxTracker ACE. ToxTracker is a unique reporter assay that provides thorough insight in a compound’s mechanisms of toxicity. Not only the potential of a compound to directly cause DNA damage is identified, also toxicity through oxidative stress and protein damage is characterised. 
ToxTracker ACE is an extended version of ToxTracker and combines all the advantages from ToxTracker with an extensive cell cycle analysis. The cell cycle analysis not only provides further information about the mode-of-action of genotoxic compounds, it also allows for discrimination between clastogens and aneugens. The unique combination of the ToxTracker genotoxicity reporters and DNA staining support the identification of tubulin poisons and cell cycle kinase inhibitors.
