Researchers from the Karolinska Institute and Toxys will present a poster on the genotoxic properties of nanomaterials at the Society of Toxicology 2015 meeting in San Diego.
In a collaborative study together with researchers from the Institute of Environmental Medicine at the Karolinska Institute, we recently applied the ToxTracker reporter assay to gain mechanistic insight into the genotoxic properties of various nanomaterials. We identified oxidative stress as the primary genotoxic property of the tested metal and non-metal nanoparticles.
Poster details are: #1960. The ToxTracker Reporter System Enables Rapid Screening with Mechanistic Insight into the Genotoxicity of Metal Oxide Nanoparticles.
The poster will be presented by Anda Gliga, Division of Molecular Toxicology, Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.

We just released a short video explaining our unique ToxTracker platform
ToxTracker is a state-of-the-art stem cell-based reporter assay that provides mechanistic insights in the primary reactive properties of novel compounds with a superior sensitivity and specificity compared to the conventional in vitro (geno)toxicity tests available on the market.
