Toxys and Institute for In Vitro Sciences Expand Partnership to Advance Adoption of New Approach Methodologies in Genetic Toxicology

Leiden, The Netherlands and Gaithersburg, MD, USA — 17 July 2026 — Toxys and the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS) are pleased to announce an expanded strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of innovative in vitro methods for chemical safety assessment. Under a new distribution agreement, IIVS will serve as the exclusive distributor of ToxTracker® kits throughout North America.

In addition, Toxys and IIVS have renewed their licensing agreement, enabling the ToxTracker assay to be offered in the United States. Through this collaboration, IIVS will provide ToxTracker services for genotoxicity screening as well as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)-compliant studies to support regulatory submissions.

ToxTracker is a mechanism-based genotoxicity screening platform that provides detailed insight into the biological pathways activated by chemical exposure. The assay supports more informed hazard assessment while reducing reliance on animal testing.

Increased availability of the assay through IIVS will help laboratories, industry, and regulatory stakeholders access standardized, scientifically robust tools for next-generation genetic toxicology assessment.
